I suffer from insomnia but for medical reasons I can't take a lot of medications. Does anyone have a good old home remedy that really works (other than baseball bat).LOL. I would really like to find something safe to lull me to sleep.

A friend I met through mylot recommended Sleepytime Tea, which she bought at Walmart, but I found at CVS. When I don't want to use medicine, I'll drink a cup of that, and it does help me get to sleep. I don't always stay alseep, but it does help me fall asleep. And my mom started drinking it too, and it does both for her. She likes to add a bit of honey to it, and I would recommend that as well. Any other sweetner might taste weird.

Sleepytime Tea? I will definitely look for this. I do have to use artificial sweeteners because I am diabetic. But I am so used to them that if I put sugar in it I get this awful sour taste in my mouth. Thanks Ambie Pam for a great suggestion and I will follow through on this one. Hugs, BSM

I always have the little TV in our bedroom on too. I doubt I could sleep at all without it. I does help lull me to sleep Thanks

Besides making your room sleep friendly, no exciting tv or very bright lights, what works for me is reading. I get a book and sometimes it is so interesting I struggle to stay awake..lol
