Matsuzaka is the first Japanese player ever in a world series to get a base hit. This should make a huge amount of publicity. There was already a lot of buzz about the Matsuzaka. What do you think about Matsuzaka hitting his first base hit? Was it luck? Was it skill? Can he do it again?

It was unbelievable! After Tim said that Dice-K played on a team in Japan that used the DH, I thought he couldn't hit.Boy was I wrong. Not only did he hit a single, he had two RBI.What a extra plus to the night. He only pitched in what? 5 innings but that was enough.fantastic. In Japan, this game was big because of Dice-K and his fellow Japanese in this game. Here , there are too many pitchers that can hit, especially in the National League. The main story is the Red Sox up 3 games to 0.Dice-K's hit is just a part of it.

well in the world of baseball you have to be a hitter before you are a pitcher, i mean he wasnt a pitcher always he had to learn to hit somewhere, so it was amazing and yes I think he can do it again.

Reflecting back on the year as it is already over, I think Dice-K can get more base hits, he just needs to get more opportunities to do so. I think it was part luck and part skill that contributed to Dice-K in getting his first base hit. This doesn't matter because nonetheless, he got his first base hit and that is all that counts. This proves that Dice-K can be a dominant pitcher, but also be a key hitter whenever it is needed from especially a player in his pitching position. Dice-K can definitely get another base hit again. He just has to do what he did in the World Series.
