I mean as far as employment? Why do some people think they can talk to you any kind of way? I think it is rude, and we are all adults, and should be treated equally. People can be so nasty there is a way to talk to someone, without yelling and screaming. that makes a person dislike you and don't have respect for you. Every Human being should be nice at all times, you agree? If we are not nice that in the devilness in us. It is nice to be nice!

Does parenting count? It is a 24/7 job with lousy pay and the occassional day of not being grumpy! lol. If you do, then yeah, I am in a High Postition! lol. Actually, I am the boss! Though you wouldn't know it! lol. In life, I have always tried to leave a positive impression on people, not matter how nasty they have been with me. Sometimes it isn't easy, but why should I stoop to their level if they can't be civil. There are too many sour people in this world already! lol. Here's to making the world smile!

I agree that we should make an effort to be nice, no matter what position we hold in the work place. Happy employees means more productivity and happy bosses and business owners. A few years back I worked for KFC and our managers were really nasty. I was expected to be doing 5 things at once and always got talked down to if I didn't. Huh? I can't mop the floors, serve customers and clean the toilets all at the same time. Now, women are supposed to be good at multi tasking, but that is too much! lol. In the end I was fired, but not unhappy as I then worked in Sydney for the 2000 olympics and had a ball.

I think it is just riduclious they way some people can think that they can talk to a person, I am not the one that shuts up. talk to me decent or don't talk to me at all. that is the way it is. I had a problem with this lady over the week-end, she wasn't my Boss, ahe just the that she could talk to me any kind of way. I told her I was not going to stand for it. she has a very Bad Attitude Problem, I know you know some people like that, There are a lot of people like this in the world.

How did I know....well its been a year now and we have gotten to know each other. I could just tell that someone was mean to you. I don't see you being mean to anyone unless pushed and then they probably deserve it. Take care and I hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I am am pretty nice person but I dont think anyone can be nice 24/7. What a bland boring life we would have if no-one said what they really meant in case it wasn't nice!

My management change - other then my immediate boss - does not even acknowledge us. If we speak to them, they pretend to be deaf and keep doing what they are doing. But personally, it is no loss. Well actually ...I do worship the ground they slither on.

Hahaha I guess you are talking about your Job, that is understandable, this wasn't about my job, I don't have a job. I think a person should still talk with respect to a person, job or not.

I work at subway so we get people all the time who come i and want to give us hell about things we can't even do anything aboput like company policies like for instance for the kids meals we have 4 types of sanwhiches and it comes with either apples, raisins, yogourt and to drink either milk or juice.-people want to argue about why can't tey get meatballs for the kids meal they want meatballs why can't they get chips they want chips why cant they get soda they want soda, and we can't do it because the inventory will come up short and we will get into trouble. What do people expect for me to bend the companies rules just for them and risk my job I think not They wouldn't bend the rules for me where ever they worked. I wish people would stop being snobby to like they think they are all high and mighty because they are a doctor and you work at a fast food restaurant so they don't have to be nice and thats b.s. because we work to get paid and pay bills just like they do regardless of how much it is or what it is they do. Its work and we all do it people just need to treat people the way they want to be treated.

I was not in a higher up position where I used to work, but the woman I worked for was the President's mother. And boy oh boy was she a handful to deal with. It was terrible. She could be very understanding and compassionate when she wanted to be, but then she'd turn on me. She let two of my co workers put me in the hospital and they still work for the company! I don't of course. I quit. But, she let them get away with it. And when I needed something she'd shoo me out of her office, only to turn around and let them come right in and ask their questions. Stupid isn't it? I am soooo glad I found a decent company to work for. They treat me well. There will always be some people in higher position who act like they are better than you, but there are some who are nice. I know, I found a good company with nice enough managers, although they are tough on slackers and who shouldn't be. But, I agree, people should be nice. Many aren't and if they aren't, your best bet is to get out of the situation as soon as you are able to.

Thanks for the advice I already got out of the situation, I went to her boss, and explain to him about her. He didn't say a word, but said Ok, I understand, I think he knew what I was saying. He tod me to just join another facility, she was like a Counslor, and we just couldn't see eye to eye.

I was wondering, are you just a lowly employee where you work and you think because someone who is higher than you talked disparagingly to you, that that is the way all higher ups talk? Well that is not true. People in high positions have to show by example that their manners are impeccable. Screaming and yelling is the marks of a bore and a person of the lowest form of humanity. One should always be polite and it is easier for a person to listen if the other person talks nicely. If you did not do wrong, it was wrong for that person to assume you did and make a fool of him or herself by yelling at you. And don't think that no one was listening. They saw what type of person that was and have also lost respect for him or her.

I am learning this fairly late in life, but there are all kinds of people in this world. I some of them are more evil than you could ever imagine. I am trying to learn to deal with people no matter how jacked up they are. It is not easy, but if I don't learn to deal with every kind, it will only be my down fall.

it's really disgusting in working that some people will treat others in very bad manner.they talk to them in rude manner.it's not correct though they are in senior position than us.every one has equall rights.we have to be nice with all otherwise they won't respect us.

Hi marciascott, I agree that people should be nice to each other, it makes all of life a happier experience. Yelling and screaming is not acting like an adult. I learned a long time ago that if we want to change something, we must start with ourselves. Blessings.

I have worked for to many places that are nice and team friendly over the years. All of them have turned out to be very cloak and dagger about things. Trying to secretly probe co-workers for information. When people get let go they get fired for rules that come from dusty books not the employee manual. We have to change these conditions, but we are the only ones. With so many arrogant a$$es already running the show how are we to step forward?

In some cases people in a "higher" position can let their jobs go to their heads. It's nice to know that most of my managers consider themselves equal to their employees, they just have different duties. I don't think its right for a person to abuse their position by mistreating others. No matter were you go, you will find that one person who just isn't having the best day, and isn't that nice. It's just human nature not to be pleasant 24/7. I can't say i've never been unpleasant with someone because that would be a lie, but on a typical bases i am a nice person.
