alright guys, let be honest. as an agent, was there ever a time that you release a call just because you feel like it? or was it because you don't feel the other person on the other line? as for me, as much as i don't want to but there are times that i do it simply because, hmmmmmmm i am tired;-o

LOL Hi Nike, I worked for Cingular Wireless, you bet I released many calls! LOL Gosh people are so rude and they get really testing about their bills, yet they are the ones talking their heads off and wracking up the bill! NOT my fault! I just made sure that I did it while I was in the middle of a sentence, that is if I could get a word in edge wise, not while they were speaking. :D OOPS! lol Bay Lay Gray xx

if you are not being monitored by your quality, press mute and wait for the other line to drop the phone.

I can say i released about 2-3 calls only in my whole 2 years of being a call center agent. These calls were released because, the person i am talking with at the other end of the line was either disrespectful and was saying tormenting words of curses to me. I have never had anyone say so much bad words to me and when that call came to me... i was close to having a heart attack cause i guess even the worst gangster would not be ableto swallow what he was saying. I have not released a call just because i liked it, cause i know the feeling of your call being released! i wouldnt want that... so im glad i am a patient person. but with all honesty, call center job has made me a different person.

I have never released a call, but there are times when I was tempted to. Especially when the person on the other line thinks they're far more superior. Duh!

Honestly , I haven't released any calls during my two years in call center biz. I am not trying to play goody-goody here but that's the truth. But there are a lot times , I want to release calls. Especially those calls that are going nowhere. But I guess , I just don't have the guts to press that release button.

Well, since we are being honest with this topic.. yes I have released a call from a customer. They were really rude and could never get a word in. At the call center that I was working for if a customer was going off on you and you cannot get a word in, you are suppose to interrupt the customer. Well I tried that many times with the this customer and it just pissed him off even more. I even warned him that if the bad language didn't stop and if he wouldn't let me finish my sentence I would release the call. They kept going on and so I dropped the call. I did tell my supervisor that I released the call and told him what the customer said to me.. luckily I didnt get into trouble but sometimes you will get those calls to where you either dont want to hear what they have to say because they are being so rude or because you are too tired that day!
