Why Australians love to hate Muralitharan...?!?!?!

Muttiah Muralitharan is one of the great off-spinners of the cricket history. He is the most destructive bowler of the current era. He is now just short of 9 wickets to be the leading test wicket taker in the cricket history ever. He has played all around the globe, but whenever he visits Australia, he almost always faces the problems.
Australian cricketers, media, public even the Prime Minister has called Murali as a "chuker". Murali has always been booed. They always treat him unfairly. Since 1996-96, his action has been critized, only and only by the Australians umpires. No-balls were given. But it was the great Arjuna Ranatunga who stand with him boldly..
Why Australians are behaving so harshly with Murali??

Because that's the way it has been like ever since that controversial incident involving murali, darrell hair, and ranatunga in australia. Australians tend to adopt off the field tactics to topple the other teams confidence just like they did in india when they landed here.

But Australians haven't targeted the one player, as they have done now with muralitharan...
Is it because, Murali is the real threat for Australians? or Do Murali really chuks???

i think even Australians have slowly started to accept murali, he is definitely a great bowler. he might be having some unfair advantage because of his deformity but again to be a great bowler you need more qualities than a deformity. Even for me it was difficult to accept muraly, even when people keep talking about his records i tried to see him in a different category, but now i realised that, to be as good as murali one needs some talent. I think there is reference to murali even in the movie lagaan, where aamir khan spots a person with physical deformity to be the spinner or his team, because he is able to spin the ball more because of his deformity. So we have to learn how to give credits to muralies achievements!
