Andre, I have visited Rome for five days in October of 1973. As you know it is a city rich in architecture, art and history. I was a newly married woman back then and in total awe of the city. I still have not given up the dream of going back and visiting Florence and Venice. Maybe it will become a reality next year!

I have been to Italy twice and think that it is a really lovely country. The first time I was there I went to the beautiful city of Venice. Wow! I loved seeing the lovely looking canals. I saw some superb old buildings. I went on many boats and on one of the days I was there I took one out to a nearby island with lovely colorful houses.
The second time I went to the wonderful island of Sardina. I really enjoyed seeing the old buildings and snending time on the sandy beaches. The food there was great. I ate many sweet oranges. The people were very friendly. One of them helped me when I had a confusing time trying to go into the bank. The door kept me locked out because I was carrying a bag. You see i hd to put it in a locker before going into the bank.
I hope to go back to Italy to take my son to the amazing city of Rome. He loved studying Romans at school and is fascinated by history. I am sure that he will enjoy seeing all the sights. I would love to see the beautiful coastline and islands near Naples. Seeing great works of art in Florence would be a delightful thing to do.
