Hello! Welcome to Illinois, when you get here! hehe Im from Chicago, I dont live there now, but be prepared for some COLD weather. Yes its really cold. They dont call Chicago "The Windy City" for nothing. I really think that mostly holds true for the North side of the city, its located just of one of the Great Lakes, and it gets very cold and windy up there. I think it really depends on where your going to be living. Do you know yet? Chicago is very large, they have many suburbs within suburbs basically. Its a great city with lots of things to do, a great night life along with a wide variety of people as well. I think this link could really help you out. http://egov.cityofchicago.org/city/webportal/home.do Best of luck with your move! I hope you enjoy living there!! Bay xx

wow thanks for the reply Bay./ I love the idea of the Great LAke and being windy and cold. I have never tasted snow too.heheh.Think it would be a lot of fun. I will be living insouth Elgin. Before that I need to settle my career first for me to enjoy life outhere. I need to get a job. How is it in Chicago when it comes to video production, multimedia or film jobs. Is it promising in there? Thanks.

Hey no problem, Elgin is nice, its not near the lake front, but if you dont mind traveling a bit you could easily get there. I tell you, you must visit Navy Pier. Its on the lake front and its a really good time. I dont think its open during the winter months though, you would have to wait til spring. Im thinking you shouldnt have a problem getting a job in Chicago with the right education and experience. I would suggest to use a site like Careerbuilder.com or monster.com and there you can put in the city or zip code and it will list all the available jobs. That way you could apply before you actually get here. I think your going to like it. Bay xx
