How to place pictures on wordpress?

I have started my own blog by wordpress. I have bought my own domain name and web hosting. Now I have another problem. I want to place pictures on my blog. But I don't know. I'm not familiar with wordpress and it is the first time I use wordpress. I searched online and it is said that I need to install some plugin software. There are so many softwares here,I really don't know which one is proper.Please give me some advice.

got the same problem when i started wordpress. try this plug-in at the www.awsom.org/awsom-pixgallery. download the plug-in, install it in your site's plugin directory and read the instructions to get started. happy mylotting!
