Getting old make my memory has a limit when I go shopping. Sometimes I even forgot the small but important things which should I buy, and after I realize it I can feel regret and tired to go back to the mini market again. 5 years ago I didn't need to make some lists when I go shopping, but right now... I have to... How about you ? I just avoid to buy something useless and forget something important.

Always forget my list! - grocery shopping list
I always make a list and always forget to bring it with me to the store. It never fails. I too remember the days when I didn't need a list and could remember everything I needed but those days are long gone.

Most of the time I make a shopping list when I go shopping because If I dont make a list, I might forget something that I wanted. There was times that I did forget my list and came home without the things that I wanted and had to go all the way back to get them.

Making a list is very important for me and i guess its for everybody as when i go to the market everything gets mixed up if i don't have a list with me. Its better we make a list that we have to buy before we leave our home, because once in the market we forget those which are important also. There are lots of things in the market and we at that time forget what is not in our home or what we are suppose to buy. Its more organized and reliable.

Yup, I do make a list when I go shopping, especially on groceries. I also forget those things that I really need to buy when I don't have a list. And more importantly, I tend to spend more when I don't have my list because I would just grab whatever it is that interests me and put it in my cart.

I dont think that making a shopping list is bad at all for any age group. It makes your task easier. You need not remember everything and shop from the list.

I don't think age has something to do with it, I believe that it's the volume of thoughts that keeps on flowing inside our minds are what makes us forgetful at times!;) Sometimes, our minds get pre-occupied by things we don't really think of and that's what causes us to forget what we really came out for. I don't really make a list to shop for, since all my needs are random. From food, to basic commodities and personal needs.

i think the best way to do effective shopping is to make a scale of preference to avoid inpulse purchase and also forgeting petit important things. i often do without list but for easy and quick shopping i make a list to guide me after which i then buy other things which come after the list. one can forget some important things especially when the items to be bought are many and the only alternative is to make that list. this scale of preference does not only help you to remember the items but tells you which is more important when you run short of funds by then you might have bought the most neccessities.

I do that sometimes when I have so much thing to buy, but just for food then I dont have to. I do the same thing, I dont buy something that useless. Like old people said; buy something you need not something you want. I always limited what I want to buy cuz everything now is getting expensive and i have to save a lot for my family. :)...

though i don't have this habit now, as time goes on, i think i will be changed. more people, especialy women, like to go shoping, even have nothing to buy, which is adverse for men. our male friends awlays get their needs and leave the store quickly, they don't have the patience to hang about, just like me:-)

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. It all depends on whether we are going to be buying bulk items or just picking up a few grocery items for a few days.

Sometimes I make a shopping list to take with me to the store when I buy things, but I keep forgetting to take it with me. I also keep forgetting to make the list in the first place. Thanks for this reminder. I need to really make a habit of this in order to curtail compulsive shopping of unnecessary things, and to avoid forgetting to get the things I really need.
