How do you buy greeting cards? Do you buy one for each particular event? Or do you like to buy in bulk & stock up so you always have one? I do both I buy for occassions but I like to have some on hand just in case.

I use an online service. It's so fun. I can also upload photos to go on the card, add my own signature and my own message. All within minutes. Then the online company creates the card, stuffs it, and mails it for me. I just love this site. If you want the link than you can PM me because I don't want to get banned for putting the link here. I always like to make my own off of the computer. I actually have alot of my own poems that I have copy writed and that have been published that I like to use. The cards are kind of an inspiration to write lots of poems.

I very seldom buy cards. If I do it is one at a time for the occasion. I will usually buy for my hubby on his b-day, v-day, and our anniversary. I am just not a card giving person.

My approach varies. For Christmas cards they are alway bought in bulk. I usually buy them during after Christmas sales and then I am all ready for the next year. I always try to keep a handful of special occasion cards on hand to make sure that I am ready. That includes everything from thank you, birthday, get well, sympathy and friendship. I begin Xmas shopping right after Christmas...so there are usually gifts up in the linen closet..so like the girl guides..."I am prepared!" (laugh) Raia

Why dont you just become a distrubotor of SOC. There are 10,000 cards and you can earn a residual income. www.sendoutcards.com/35720

I find greetings cards quite expensive now, especially if you purchase them individually, that's why I like to buy in bulk, or wait till there's a promotion on so I can buy loads, they don't date naturally so at home I have a whole boxful of cards which has saved me a fortune!

I usually buy one for each particular event. However, I get our christmas cards made online and choose pictures of my son to put on them for my family overseas. They love getting cards of my son. For his grandparents birthday this year, I personally made a card online for each of them from a gift card I received. It's a lot of fun to do it that way!

It depends on the occasion. Mostly birthdays, get well, thinking of you, sympathy what have you. Sometimes I stock up, sometimes not.

Hi stacyv81! Oh, no I don't buy greeting cards because that is my line of business. I make handmade and handpainted cards and usually sells them to novelty shops and I have regular clients who orders them from me. I also give and send my own greeting cards to family and friends and I am glad that they really like them. Take care and have a nice day.

Hi Stacyv... I buy individual cards for my parents - birthdays, anniversary and holidays, my brothers and close friends - birthdays and anniversaries. However for all the other holidays, I buy bulk. I like buying the ones that have our signature already stamped on with our return address on the envelope but don't know if we can afford to this year but we'll see how things go.

I usually like to buy greeting cards just for special occaisions. I do some genetic ones on hand in case I need one. I like when the card is more specific to the person who is going to get it. That way it feels more special and like I've put more thought into it. There are so many great cards out there that are more personalized and those tend to be the ones that I buy.

I prefer to buy cards one at a time. That way I can pick out a specific card for the specific person. I like the cards I send to show that I put time and effort into finding just the right card for them. Buying in bulk is just too impersonal for me.
