If you see someone suddenly laugh?

What would you think if you were walking along, and then you saw someone just randomly chuckle or laugh? From the laughing person's point of view, they could be laughing at a funny memory, or perhaps they just noticed something that they thought was humerous, or it's also possible that they are high on something. But what would you, the spectator think? Would you think "This person must be thinking of a happy thought", or would you think "Uh-oh this person is crazy, I better keep my distance"?

LOL i wouldn't think they're crazy if they look properly normal. i would think that they remembered something funny and they couldn't help but laugh over it. or maybe that person read something funny somewhere within his/her sight and out of my sight. i don't laugh or chuckle whenever i remember something funny but i do smile to myself. ^__^ but if they look like beggars then i would they're crazy and i would stay out of their way. ^__^;;

Nice that you think that way, I too don't laugh but smile if I think back about something funny. That's reasonable to think that someone who looks like a beggar is possibly a little crazy, better safe than sorry!

Seldom happens to me. When I see someone laugh when I look at them I would really know if they’re laughing at me. I just don’t mind it anyway as long as I’m feeling good of whatever is on me (if that’s what they laughing). But yes for some instances, they might be laughing because they remembered something and accidentally at the same time looking at you. Well no offense taken.

Best to just brush things off and not take offense if you think that they are laughing at you, or trouble may arise... thanks for your response :).

I think it depends where you are, if you happen to be walking along a street where people will send you away to an asylum if they spot you laughing for no apparent reason, then yes I agree it is a bad habbit. But otherwise I see nothing wrong with reminiscing about funny moments. Thanks for your response :).

Hee, Beavis... now I'm imagining that. Yeah, I think it would be pretty bad to do that in real life...

I've done this when thinking about something. I do it often. The person could be on something if they suddenly laugh. It would be bad to be like beavis.

So if someone suddenly changes from a serious expression to becoming happy and laughing, you will smile? Good for you! And thanks for your response :).

Good topic to start with. If i saw a person who keeps on smiling normally the thing that comes n my mind will be about madness. Yes i suspect that person might be mad. But other thing to think is about ourselves. Sometime we also laugh just thinking about the funny incidents. That particular moment we are not bothering about others. So this is also a chance there to occure

Thanks :). I think that that is most people's first thought, until they start thinking about other reasons as to why a person may be randomly laughing, thanks for your response :).

Sometimes its really funny to be with those kind of people and its weird also. I have a friend of mine who is somewhat like that, she smiles at times for no reason and when asked she simply replies that she remembers something funny. But there are people who laugh out suddenly and when asked why they just give a flat answer that "its nothing". Sometimes its not very nice also as we feel that they might be thinking of us in a funny way or they might be crazy.

Guess the people that go "it's nothing" just want to keep their thoughts private, it could be they're laughing at you... but then maybe they aren't, so I wouldn't really worry about things like that .

LOL! Well I have to admit, I do this sometimes. But it is never because I'm high! ;P I always laugh randomly if a really funny memory pops into my head. I'm not usually in public when I do this, usually at home, but I get the giggles A LOT!!!! lol. Sometimes I can't get a funny thing out of my head that just happened so I keep laughing! lol. But I would probably think that they thought of a funny memory or saw something funny that I missed. I probably wouldn't ever immediatly think someone is high for laughin! :)

That happens to me also, if something really funny happens I can laugh non-stop for a rather long time... and then keep on doing in bursts for a while after. I probably wouldn't suspect someone to be high if they started laughing out of nowhere unless they looked like the type of person that would get high, and were looking a bit dazed, walking around funny, sort of thing... Thanks for your response :).

well, if the person was doing other things that made them appear high then I might think of that ;P lol. But not just with laughing! But, when someone isn't high, it's always nice to see people smiling and laughing...I hate seeing grumpy people! =P lol.

I would not think they are crazy. I would assume that they had just remembered something funny. Or I might think that they are on the phone to someone else and I just can't see the phone on their ear. That has happened many times to me.

That is a possible situation, guess if you're talking subtly on a small phone, you run the risk of coming across as crazy...

tell the truth and shame the devil? i am always weary of anyone on the street as i have been in big cities and seen a lot of nut cases and most people are ok but i assume the worst and when i am proven wrong i am delightfully surprised. i worked in security and had to bang a few heads to get there attention..so i made a few enemies as you cannot deal with people who are high on something or just delusional...better to be safe then sorry as i have had cases where i seen fellow guards hurt trying to be a nice guy or a nice lady..as we use women and men..women can be five times worst then men when trying to subdue...but in the end you have to maintain the upper hand as they don't pay you to get hurt.

I think it's better to think the worst and be pleasantly surprised, than to expect the best and be let down. And I agree it is better to be safe than sorry, especially in situations involving an unknown person/people or location.

I would be thinking and wondering the same things as you! Is this person daydreaming, remembering, or suddenly lost it? What if it happened every time you see that person? That might change your answer!

That is true, if someone was laughing every time you saw them, you'd probably begin to wonder what it is they find so funny each day...

HAHAHA, I remember myself doing this thing. because I cant stop myself whenever I remember funny things that happened to me. Just like now lol. If I saw someone suddenly laugh I will not think his is crazy or what. I also think that it is healthy to laugh. remember "laughter is the best medicine." Even if we're facing huge problems we should laugh it out then you'll notice the problem has been solved. (am I saying this like its easy to do?)

I cannot judge others since I may smile or laugh on my way! Actually, when I'm alone,I may think about things funny or happy,so when it's really sweet,I let myself laugh. It's quite ok from my view!

I do that too sometimes if I'm alone... but I try not to do it in public, you never know who you might meet, and what they might think if they saw a guy just laughing seemingly without reason...

lol.. I would most likely have to laugh, I am laughing now just thinking about this. I see people all the time on the bus or walking down the street having full conversations with themself and it is so funny I have to laugh, yeah it's not right but still come on it is funny!

I used to get shocked and jump out of my skin before. But it is alright wit hme seeing hordes of crazy people laughing, shouting, cursing ,and weeping on the streets with their cell phones plugged in to their ears. From a distance they all look wackos.

Yeah those things can be difficult to spot... a guy could appear to be talking and laughing to himself, even if the spectator is quite nearby if the equipment blends in right...

I'd get mad and think they were laughing at me. I might ask them what their problem is, if they were looking my way. I'm a little paranoid.

Well if they were looking at you when they started laughing, it'd be completely understandable to think that they were laughing at you... if however, they started laughing while facing the other way, then I think you could be called paranoid if you thought they were laughing at you...

Lol, I do that all the time! That's because I always tend to remember some funny thoughts while walking down the street. I know people might think I am crazy, so I always cover up my mouth with my hands whenever I can see myself suddenly smiling/laughing. Haha... So if I saw some random people down the street suddenly smile or laugh, I won't think he/she is weird as I think just like me, he/she might also be thinking some funny stuffs that had happened.

I don't picture my self laughing just because i remember funny things or someone's came on my mind. But smile is highly noticeable when i remember funny moments. I don't know how to give comment regarding laughter because i only laugh when there is something really funny.

Ah, I guess you're a more serious type? Or maybe someone who smiles often, but saves laughs only for really funny things? Thanks for commenting :)
