I've been reading about ribose as a treatment for fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue. Anyone using it? Does it work for you? Is it expensive? Where do you find it?

I did a little searching. Ribose is a supplement that can probably be purchased at any health food store. It is a member of the sugar family (-ose). It does look like it could be helpful to fibromyalgia and one site even claims it has been patented for treatment of fibromyalgia. It is primarily an energy enhancer but also sends needed oxygen to the muscles.
You can try it if you wish to dish out the dollars for something that may or may not help you. One site lists it at $70 for one month's supply. There are tons of products that claim to help but it is costly and people become discouraged. Ribose does not work overnight either.
I did a search for "ribose" initially but then did a search for "ribose and fibromyalgia". You can buy it online or check your local health food store. It sounds like something that would be readily available there.

Seventy dollars a month does sound like a lot, especially if it turns out not to work for me. I've tried all kinds of things, some help and some don't. CoQ10 has been the best help so far.
