My dog Sandy (she's a year old) and my young pup Lady(she's about 5 or 6 months old)
Now I was sitting in the room today and I've noticed on several occasion that Sandy was in Lady's mouth just licking her mouth and stuff. Is that healthy for the both of them? I've told them to stop and they do but their just like kids when you leave the room right back at it again.
Sandy do think she is the mom but I never seen that before.
Sandy is mixed with Collie & Chow
Landy is mixed with German Shepard & Chow (but her figures is so strong to a German that is not funny. I also notice that Lady's bark is getting more aggressive too. Is that normal? She(Lady)don't like noone off the street to come near me. Like yesterday this older lady came to me and as she would closer to talk to me Lady would start barking but Sandy was just watching the older lady. Why is Lady getting like this? Is that just the shepard that is starting to peak out of her. She isn't aggressive with no one in the house though.

I believe this is just normal, and nothing to be concerned off.
Unless one of them is active preety weird and doesnt respond much to you.
Which could mean something.
As far as the licking their mouth is concerned. I believe you dont have anything to worry.

For as long as dogs have been around, they've been doing this among other grossly things but that's their instincts kicking in. I can't tell you why they do it but they do do it and is normal for them but like you, I wouldn't encourage it.
As for Lady, she is very possessive which is not a good thing at all. She could very well hurt someone because she doesn't trust anybody and could lunge after them which will get you in serious trouble. It's time for you to get her in behavior classes in hopes you can tame her aggressive spirit. Also by acting aggressive, she's making herself to be the leader of the pact which includes you and your family. You need to assert yourself to show her that no, you're not the leader or the boss, I am. However you'll need some help by taking her to these classes. The sooner the better. I wish you luck!
