Travel in Iran

I went to Iran in 1969, when I worked for Statham Instruments. I went to install medical equipment at Tabriz University. This was while we were friendly with them. The people were starting to wear western style clothing. I installed monitors in their surgery suites. The windows were all open to keep it cool, with fly swatters all over. I trained several students in the use of the equipment. I have lots of stories to tell if anyone is interested.

I'm sure interested! It must have truly amazing to visit a place like that, with so much history. Please post your experiences here for all to read or PM me with some of your stories! Annie

I went right after I got married. I had to get used to their Sabbath on Wednesday. Work on Saturday and Sunday. Some of the women still wore their robes (chador). I got invited to a different doctor's house each night for a dinner. (With straight vodka!) The scenery was beautiful. For breakfast we had eggs, coffee, and a kind of toast with jam made from roses. I slept on a bed (table) with a couple of blankets. If you want more I will send more.
