Does your child take their toys apart?

My little girl loves her dolls, but she's always trying to take them apart. Most times the genuine barbies don't come apart, but some of the cheaper fake barbies are fair game, so we don't buy them anymore. I guess she does it cause she's bored. Maybe she just wants a new challenge. And, the funny part is that she puts assorted mismatched doll parts together to make a new doll. Just yesterday we found a doll head in the closet and she was so happy that she immediately slapped it onto the body of a formerly headless doll. Very gruesome. But cute. Do your kids take their toys apart? Do the pieces get lost?

Both of my kids YES , and what annoys me is that i just bought that toy and later on i see everything is torn apart. I rather buy them something rubbery. Like when i bought my daughter a new barbie doll..the head is missing for some reasons ..and then the next day the other leg ..i feel like my daughter is really sadistic towards the barbie. And my son I bought him a set of cars and everything is scattered i cant find the door and other things..

Ever since my hubby took my three year old with him to get the tires changed on our van, many of his cars have become tireless.. (: He just loves to take them apart. I'm constantly catching him do it. I don't mind, as long as it won't break it, but he and I have discovered many of the cheap 99 cent cars, will break if you take off their wheels. (: I've also caught him with a screwdriver.. when I asked him what he was doing, he said, this toy needs new batteries!! (: IT's cute what they come up with.

My son loves taking stuff apart. He always wants to take batteries out of anything that has them, too. We've caught him using a toy screw driver trying to get the screws out of the battery compartment on some of his toys.

My kids are famous for taking there toys apart. Unlike your daughter they do it just to destroy them. My boys do it to see how they tick/work. And the girls do it to help there brothers.

We bought my 3 year old son a kitchen set for Christmas last yr and we also bought him one of those little tykes workbenches with the tools. He used his tools to take apart his kitchen set, LOL
