I was in the coffee shop today, and the guy serving me had really long feminine looking nails. I thought it looked horrible. Why do some guys do this? It really icks me out.

I used to have a friend that was really proud of his long nails and to be honest, it really puts me off! I would never date a guy with longer nails than me and I really don't understand why! I just don't like it! They are always really dirty as well have you noticed! I thought it was against rules and regulations to have long nails when serving food or drinks? I know when I worked in a restaurant, I had to make sure my nails were short and neat. Hum, maybe you should bring up next time you see him!

It turns me off too....ewww. My nails were way shorter than his. I remember when I was in food service I could never have nails like that either...good point. Maybe it's a cultural thing that they don't want to tell them to cut them.

i haven't seen guys with complete long nails but i've seen guys with one or two fingers (usually the thumb or the pinkie) with long nails and it also icks me. i also think it looks horrible and sooo uncool. in fact i think its weird. i just can't understand why they have to have long nails... .

I know what you mean! My husband will go for weeks without clipping his nails, and it creeps me out. When his nails get longer than those of the three females who live here, there's just something WRONG, you know?

There's nothing wrong at all with guys having long nails. I wear my nails long (at least 7mm beyond fingertip) and always keep them very clean. I've worn my nails long since my early teens, and I'd never want to be without them. I have a professional manicure every two weeks, and I get complimented very often on my nails.

What on earth is wrong with a guy having long nails (any more than a woman)? ... as long as they're clean? I've been getting my nails professionally manicured for the past 5 years. I keep them at least 7mm beyond the fingertip and wear clear matt polish on them, to strengthen them. I like my nails to look nice and I get a lot of compliments.

LoL Ugh, your not kidding!! I really dont find that very attractive at all. Even though they are all nice and neat, it just really doesnt fit well with the male anatomy. I think getting them manicured, and trimmed with some clear polish is ok for some men, depending on their character. They must be trimmed though, not long at all. Im happy my man isnt like that, he has me clip his each week for him! No polish! lol Bay Lay Gray xx
