I found this wonderful tribute to the men and women of the armed forces at the Fawkner cemetery here in Melbourne, it is huge set in a beautiful garden setting and it is made of I guess millions of tiny tile, the picture represents the Army, Navy and Airforce. I was especially impressed as it is near rhe garden that my mother and father's ashes are interned and seeing as my father fought in WW2 and his father was killed in WW1, I think it is very fitting.

Thats amazing... a lot of time went into that! I don't know if I'll ever get to see it in real life, so I'm glad to see the pic! Thanks for sharing it!

Yes I thought it was just a picture until I went right up to it, I was a little overcome seeing as it was right near my dads resting place...thank you for the response.

Lilaclady, Thank you for honoring those in uniform. In a time when war is taking it's toll on American lives, it's nice to know that there are those showing and confirming their support. OOH RAH!

Thanks for sharing the picture, it was great. My Grandfather faught in WW2 too.
