Paypal Problems

Have you ever had any problems with Paypal? I have created a paypal account a year ago but never used it. Now with myLot and some ptc sites I will have to use it to withdraw some cash. But something happened few days ago and I am not really sure what it is: I received an email that was saying that I had to confirm my email, just to let paypal group know, that I want to continue using my paypal account. Since I never used it before, they wanted my response so as not to delete my account. But unfortunately the email was sent to me 2 days before I open it, and I had to click on a link in the next 24 hours to maintain my account. The 24 hours have expired obviously and when I clicked on the link it said that the account was suspended. The weirdest of all is that when I logged in my paypal account, everything seemed normal. Any ideas?

Yup. The first idea that comes to mind is that the email you received was NOT from paypal, but someone attempting to scam you out of your paypal login information. If I were you, I'd be changing your paypal password pretty darn quickly.

My suggestion is "Ignore this email". I think it is pretty dangerous to enter your password and username from links in emails. Always type in the URL manually when accessing paypal site. The email you describe above sounds to me those sort of scam/phlishing emails. In fact, I think it is best to report this email to paypal admin. Above is my personal opinion, do correct me if I get any facts wrong. :)
