What's it like? I've felt for quite awhile that I may have been *trying* to become multiple, but the personalities didn't develop fully. Do you ever feel like that?

You have lots of interesting discussions. Yes, I know someone with Multiple Personality disorder. My husbands ex. It is a difficult condition to diagnose, & sufferers are often not at all cooperative in becoming diagnosed or receiving help. It has been renamed dissociative identity disorder (DID). MPD or DID is defined as a condition in which "two or more distinct identities or personality states" alternate in controlling the patient's consciousness and behavior. I would think that because you are aware of changes within yourself, you may not have DID or MPD.

...I worked with patients in the hospital with MPD. It is not something any of them tried to become. Why would you? It is not enjoyable to be in their shoes. Funny things can happen, however, not if you are the one experiencing it. ...It sounds like you need to talk to a therapist. You need to work out why you are trying to become something you are not. MPD is not something to wish for. ...Peace be with you. =(^;^)= Della
