How will you react if someone tell you that your property is worth many times more than you have imagined. Like if you have purchased a plot and wanted to sell it but people say that it is not worth that amount and your loose hope and got depressed that you have purchased at higher rate. Suddenly after 2 yrs or so someone tells you that your plot has appreciated to 10 - 20 times more than what you have purchased.
How much joy and smile on your face ....
I have seen same situation with middle class family who by chance has purchased a plot and in bad times they wanted to sell it but no one purchased it, suddenly after few months govt. declared new airport in near to that plots and price shoot so much and they made huge amount of money and everything is changed now. Thinks which they never dream of having now they have it and only due to that plot only.

Something like that has happened to me. I bought a 1/4 acre plot of land in Penneshaw many years ago.It had a good view of the sea. I did not have to pay much. Two months later there was a land boom. The prices went sky high & still are. Penneshaw is a premier tourist village on Kangaroo Island.
I put a small transportable house on the plot, made a garden & had it all looking nice.
Now, after eight years, the value of my property has risen 300%.
