It's deer hunting season in Minnesota and while the guys are out hunting us girls are having a girly weekend! My daughter in law and granddaughter are coming on Friday night and staying the whole weekend. We have planned on painting a Christmas project, doing some scrapbooking....doing some stamping and baking Christmas cookies! On Sat. my oldest sister is going to join us too! Do you get to have fun weekend with parts of your family? It will be like a big pajama party. Let me know about your sister, daughter or any other family weekend get togethers!

Dear jillhill, It is our family tradition to get together once in a year when all the family members will be there to celebrate the same. All the family members will contribute some amount towards expenses and be togehter for at least 3 or 4 days. Those things were happening 20 years before. Now a day, custom changed. Now a day only 3 of brothers family get together and live together for one week. We enjoy. Each year they will come to my place or according to the pre-arrangement I used to go the city where he stays. Every brother try his best to make this occation very happy and make to remember the pleasant memories.

Wow!That sounds like so much fun! Am I invited? I havent done anything like that in years.LOL Hey why not? You should!We usually have big family get togethers but the men are involved. And its just not the same as a girl get together! Have alot of fun and make sure you tell us all about it. I will be waiting to hear.

We also have those weekend get-togethers, mostly with friends and those "for the boys" only!;) With relatives and family, I think we only enjoy it ocassionally since we live far away with each other.
I was thinking of making a Christmas Lantern, a group or friend effort. These lantern is also the symbol of a typical filipino Christmas, I believe it was a symbol of the star that guided the "three kings" to find Jesus!;)
