Do you believe in ghosts?

Reports of ghosts bearing the news of deaths or disasters were frequent in the Victorian era, but they seem to be less common today. Researchers have offered a couple of possible explanations for this drop-off in supernatural messengers:
People no longer report seeing the spirits of loved ones for fear of appearing crazy.
Improvements in communication, like telephones and e-mail, have made it unnecessary for ghosts to intervene in human communication.
What is your opinion of ghosts?

Ghosts very true!!But some ghost are good and bad? are they trying to tell us some thing that we don't know?

i dont believe in ghosts.....its just what our imagination creates when v r in shock or afraid of something....our mind are very complex .it can create anything...v may think its real...but its all an illusion.....

I agree that our minds are very powerful. But there have been very sane, rational people who have seen ghosts.

I believe in ghost though I have not yet seen one and not afraid of one. But here in our house you can hear someone going down the stairs and sitting beside you on the bed, though there is no one around. Computer and lights sometimes goes on and off. You hear the chair moving and when you look at it there is no one there. Sometimes hear calling your name.

You definitely have a ghost of some sort in your house. Is your house old? Did an event happen in your house a long time ago, or even more recently? I think this ghost is trying to tell you something, but it is not harmful.

yes, I totally believe the ghost, althought it's unknown to us. In Chinese culture, many people believe the ghost.

There is no need to be frightened, as most ghosts are harmless & are trying to pass on a message.

Oh yes I certainly do believe in ghosts. In fact I have seen some before. I always say that just because you don't see it doesn't mean it is not there. I have a very open mind about things. :)

Sometimes ghost are bad spirit and sometime it is a good spirit. Yes I always believe in ghost and I believe that there are many spirit surround us in this world. And I believe also that the spirit of our love are here in our side to protect us and guide us everytime we are in trouble and I know that there are spirit that are bad and there spirit are good.

Gosh, I know this thread is late but I'm trying to respond to all my friend stuff today... well atleast some of it.
Anyway, I do believe in ghosts, and I do believe that they can send us signs--- like in the form of smells, or dreams.
I don't believe in "bad" spirits-- but I do think that if our loved ones haven't quite crossed over yet that they have the ability to still "be" with us.

Hi jennynianca! There are so many stories of ghosts that I have read before and some were narrated to me by my friends regarding their pesonal encounters with ghosts or spirits. I have always believed in them because I have my own encounters too. I got scared and hoping I won't have anymore encounters of the paranormal anymore. Take care and have a nice day.

It is nothing to be scared of. Most ghosts are just trying to pass on a message to loved ones. You must be receptive to see ghosts.

Yeah, I believe in ghosts even though I cannot see them and in my 20 years of existence, thank God I wasn't able to see them, and hopefully I will not see them. Though I have some kinda' weird experience, something that I believe impossible to happen.
Well some spirits right now do use the technology in relaying the message that they want to say, while some ghosts used the technology to frighten people.
It happened many times here in the Philippines. I have heard lots of stories from my friends, neighbors and family about weird calls with weird voices, weird emails and weird text message in mobile.

Hmmm, if your friends have had so many weird text messages, weird emails & weird phone callks, I do wonder if there are some idiot people there fooling around.
It is true that spirits can use technology, but your description sounds more like some silly people mucking around.

Yes, I believe in ghosts. But I prefer to call them spirits. I have never seen one but I have felt their presence. I once took care of a child who talked to one quite frequently. I believe the young can see them better because they have more of an open mind.

Sorry, eventhough how convincing the story is as long as i have never seen happening in actual scenario then i won't believe it. Hence, I really don't believe in Ghost. Those film presentations, etc... exist to twist our mind and belief!

No I dont beleave in ghost even though I know a girl at work who said her friend saw a ghost in her apartment. But there has to be an explination probally your mind playing games with you. If someone tells you that there are ghost there then you will beleave in them and think youve seen them. But why would there be ghost dont our souls go to heaven or hell

No. but it still fears me. The stories my grandmother used to tell me are there still in the mind, sometimes coming out in dreams
