please help me name our new pet dog...

Hi mylotters friend! I bought a new dog as our house pet, she is a pure poodle breed, and her color is red brown, they actually call her color a red one, she is really cute and my son like it so much. She is 7months old actually, a friend of my officemate decided to sell it because he is leaving to work abroad maybe next month and he look for a good home for her. Hope someday I can post a picture of her here in mylot so that I can share her to all of you. Now we are thinking of giving her a new name, actually when she arrived to our home yesterday we call her nicole, but nicole is the name of her mother. The former owner of this dog call her sarah but my son don't like to call her that name he'd rather chose nicole as her name, but when we are calling her that (nicole) name she dont respond to us, do you think guys we have to give her a new name? Or train her to call nicole as her name? Do please share your thought. And if you think you have a good idea to be her new name your opinions are very much welcome. Thank you.

It's funny this quesion came up and for this breed, my daughter and I were just talking, she was naming her new puppy, and she came up with, that if she had bought a poodle, she would have named her Snicker Poodle, lil play on name of the cookie.

Curly, or something like choi-Choi like that. Because our pet dogs named after a softdrink like cokie..spritey..pepsey..sounds corny but its true.

I think that you should come up with a new name for your dog. I've always liked the name Chloe for a dog, or even person for that matter. If your family has a hard time agreeing on a name, why not put a bunch of names into a hat and draw a name..

You can rename a dog. Use the new name all the time. For the first few months give her a treat if she respons to it and say her name again. She will eventually learn it. We used to have a poodle the same color. We called her baby. She looked like the grinch dog from how the grinch stole christmas. LOL Lets see cute girl puppy names??....What about, Lola, Kahlua {mispelled}, Red, Sammy, Zeena, Sugar, Missy, Beauty.

Here are some names that I thought were kindof cute for your puppy. These all have to do with the red or reddish-brown color mixture of her furr. Hazel (meaning a mix of colors) Tawny Chestnut Ginger Mahogany Sorrel Dahlia Scarlet Merlot Hope these are helpful!

Since pet dogs are so lovable and these creatures are so sweet, i think an appropriate name to call her is... sugar. Just my two cents worth of opinion.

Dear archer1811, Give your pet name as "Hazimara". This is name of the place near by Bhutan hills (Himalaya) in India. This name from my young age attracted me much. I do not know why.
