Which organics are worth the extra money, and which are not. I have switched to organic milk products and meat. Also, organic sugar. What other organics are necessaties? Or should I just switch completely?

With most foods it is very hard to tell from looking at them or tasting them whether they are actually organic or not. Sometimes I think the word "organic" is going a little bit the way of the word "natural" which is pretty meaningless on today's food labels. But with milk, there is a dramatic difference in flavor between milk sold by some of the organic family dairies and the commercial stuff. I was raised on a dairy and chicken farm and naturally I think the free range milk and eggs taste better. Perhaps more importantly, organic animal products should be free from unwanted hormones that go from the animals into humans where they can create havoc. So maybe these foods are worth paying a little extra. But I do think with some of the other grocery products sold, other considerations are equally valid. For example, I wouldn't pay extra for organic pasta unless it was multigrain with flax seed and sea salt instead of refined wheat and that other stuff.

mmm... I do not think that there is enough orgaic food to switch all the way. Organic suppose to be food without chemicals, but I believe we need some of those chemical... we are so used to them...

My wife and I shop at a local co-op for our organic products. The only things we buy though are the spices. A lot healthier and a lot cheaper actually as we buy it in bulk. We've tried other foods organically and feel personally it's not worth the extra cost. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I would switch totally if you can afford it. My big choices if I need to choose would choose meat (because of all the homones in standard meat) and fruits/veggies (because of pesticides).
