Do you hate movie credits?

I hate it when movie producers stick the movie credits over the first ten minutes of a movie. It's shows very poor taste, in my opinion. Isn't it good enough that they make us sit through ten minutes of movie credits at the end of the movie? Or, is it necessary to be subjected to the process twice? Maybe the movie people could just list a few of the major stars and the director and producer at the beginning of the movie and then save everyone else for the end. What do you think? Where should they put the movie credits? Should movie companies take the credits off the beginning of movies?

I do not hate movie credits. For one I appreciate all of the work that all of the people listed in the credits put forth into the movie. Plus sometimes credits have some interesting tidbits. Like at the end of Scream, they say "No Thanks to [some high school]" because they were originally supposed to film at this high school who then backed out and wouldn't let them. that kind of stuff is pretty interesting. Plus, I like to know who is in the movie and such so I always pay attention to credits. It's also not the movie companies. It goes with the style of the movie. movie making from the writing to the credits of the final product are all a part of the art that is movie making. so taking out credits would be like telling an art museum to take out the descriptions of paintings and the artists who painted them!

there are movies in which I am eager to see the credits at the end so I would know who did this and that. The ending credits are more complete. The beginning credits are designed as a marketing ploy to attract people to watch the movie. For example, if a movie starred someone famous like Tom Cruise, the moment you see you starting credits say starring Tom Cruise, you more likely to be more interested to watch the movie as compared to one that would star someone not known to you. The same goes for the producer, director and studio that made the movie. That is why only the major names are seen at the beginning credits. They are just there to drum up interest for the movie

It is the unions protecting those people who worked on the project that make the credits a necessary evil...a lot of how well you are thought of for future work and such comes to you thanks to where your name has been see on other projects.
