What is the one place you would not take your first date?

I haven't had a first date in so long... this took some thinking! =P
I would never take a first date to a movie actually. It's such a popular date thing, but in my opinion I'd rather go somewhere that we could talk and actually get to know each other. It just makes me more nervous to be sitting there watching a movie thinking "How am I going to get to know my date when we're not even interacting?"
It actually depends for me when it comes to first dates whether I've spent a lot of time with the person in other ways before. I'm not really fond on going out with people I'm not already friends with or have had some kind of interaction with (group, club, whatever) so I would be less nervous in most cases because I would already know the person to some extent.

Hello Lecanis,hope all is well:)I too havent had one since,well,10 years this New Years Eve,haha.My boyfriend and i have been together 10 years on New Years Eve.Our first date was to a new years eve party and been together ever since,hehe.I hate movie dates and feel like you,for all i know i could be sitting with a nutcase and would not even know it because of the no-communication,haha.Happy Friday to you!:)

*nods* I've been with my husband for eight years, but that's like a huge chunk of my life! =P
We met online, and we didn't exactly have a first date. Or rather, you could call my moving in with him our first date if you like. Some weird circumstances there!
YES! Actually, I've had the happen, go to the movies with a guy for the first date, agree to a second date just because I didn't really get any kind of feel for him on that movie date, and then find out on the second date he's completely psycho! I pulled a rather ridiculous scene by having an ex show up where I was with my date and play jealous and drag me away... it was all very silly, but I was honestly scared of the guy I was on a date with!

I wouldn't take them to my house, sometimes it ends up to something that I don't want it to be!LoL
Lots of horrible and frightening memmories here, infact, it could be made into a horror story or movie!;) Now I'm pretty sure, you don't want to know what happens with them girls!;)LoL

Well, I'm a girl, but we can pick the location of the first date, right? : ) The place I would not take a first date is the movies. That may seem an odd choice as it is a common place to take dates. But for the first date, I would like to have a dialogue with the person, and not just sit in silence for two hours in a movie theater.

Hi AmbiePam:)One time i went on a first date to the movies and hated it,like you said no talking and we could not get to know eachother well.Im like you,i would like to go somewhere in public and talk or atleast do something where we can actually communicate with eachother.
