Does your child ever leave the top off the peanut butter jar?

My little kid loves peanut butter. And, sometimes she finds a way to get hold of the peanut butter jar and then she spends half an hour eating peanut butter. I suppose there are worse things she could eat. So, I don't complain. My only problem is that she ends up leaving the lid off when she puts the peanut butter back on the counter. Last time she did that, my cat got into the peanut butter and helped himself as well. Needless to say, the entire thing creeped me out and I had to throw the peanut butter jar away. Does that ever happen in your house? Does your child leave the top off the peanut butter jar?
