Is it better to learn from mistakes or learn before we do a mistake. What do you say?

Is it possible to learn before making a mistake? I mean, lets think here. How did you learn how to write? You wrote and practiced right? How did you learn how to drive? You got in a car and did it right? How did learn how to do anything? By doing it! I know that personally the only way I learn is by doing. Just because someone tells me something or I read it in a book doesn't mean I know how to do it. I have to actually do it myself to learn how to do it. So in my opinon, from my experience, I don't think it's possible to learn prior to making a mistake. I think the only way you can learn is by doing... and if doing means making a mistake than that's just another life lesson learned.

Yes you are right.....but sometimes you do not need to make any mistakes.....you have to do it in a right way.

Yes, however, if the "right" way and the "wrong" way are not common sense, than how do you know which is right and which is wrong? You don't. so you just have to do it and find out. Plus, no one makes mistakes on purpose. So it's not like anyone realizes what they are doing is a mistake. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a mistake, it would just be stupid.

Hi Laurentyu, Personally, I think its better to learn FROM your mistakes rather than try to take account a mistake someone has told you to avoid. I lean more, I remember it, and it always makes me more cautious if the situation arises again in life. Besides, what turns out to be a mistake for one, may not really mean its a mistake for someone else. Bay Lay Gray xx

Hi BayleighGray! Yes i agree, sometimes is best to learn from mistakes because you find out on your own how hard are things and not just things you heard.

In life life,we have to deal with both situations. If we make any mistake, next time it is not good to repeat the same mistake. We have to learn from our previous mistake and it is better to not to make any mistake. But,we cannot find a single person without making any mistake in his whole life.

Yes you are right......sometimes is better to learn from our mistakes and sometimes we do not need to make any of them.So in life we have both of our situations.

of course, learn before mistake would be better than learn from mistake.sometimes there is no second chance for a mistake be done, just like water flow to floor, and we have no way to collect it back from floor.

Hi laurentyu, sometimes its better both ways.Sometimes the only way we will learn is that we have to experience it for ourselves to really understand the reason why not to do it.The other time is from someone else who has already experienced their mistake and has gave an opinion of why not to do it and the concequences of doing it.Id say both ways. a man always learns from his mistakes so its better comminting a mistake and learning from it because you are never going to forget it but if you learn before you commit any mistake you are probably going to forget it sooner or later

There are certain things in life where one has to learn by past mistakes. There are certain mistakes one should never make it in life, because you do not get a second chance.

To me is always better to have the knowledge so that you dont have to make those mistakes. As parents we try to teach our children certain things which we hope will empower them to avoid the pitfalls of life. We try to teach them from what we have learned and our mistakes. That being said sometimes the only way to learn is to make mistakes.Often learning from mistakes makes us stronger and wiser. We cant tell though how life will go.

It could be either because there are still so many things that we are not clear about till we have made a mistake. So it may vary based on the situation.

I think it is better to learn from mistake.i don't think you can learn before you do mistake, becuase you will never remeber it, you will just feel lucky, that something bad didn't happen to you, but i think we will forget about it very soon. But if we make some thing, we would remeber , because it wil hurt us or cost us something, so definitely it will stay in our mind for all life.

I think that the hardest way to learn is from mistakes, but those learnings stay with you forever, so I thinl is good to make mistakes...
