I'm thinking about changing my article I submitted to Associated Content a bit and then submitting it to Helium. I'm not a Helium member yet. Should I bother?

I believe Associated Content and Helium are fairly similar in nature, although what each pays may vary. There's no harm for you to write for both sites. I am not a member of the former, but I joined Helium some weeks back just to give it a go. I have submitted an article which became top-ranked for the topic in question, but I am not sure yet if the publishers will want to select and pay for it. I am still waiting for an outcome of this. Whatever the case, I feel encouraged by this result and will certainly look out for more opportunities to write more articles in future and see how I fare.

Wow. Top ranked and you still don't even know if you are going to get paid for it. At least AC paid me for the article and will pay me for page hits.

I don't know when I will know the outcome, but no news is bad news. If the publisher selects and pays for it, I should be getting $28 if I remember right. From your post and those of others, it sounds like it is easier to earn with AC. Maybe I shall join AC one day and give it a try when I have time.

Did you also submit the same articles to AC? If so, are you making money on them?

I pretty much always post non exclusive because I want to be able to use some of the articles on my blog. Thanks for always reading my articles btw. I'm subscribed to your content so, I always read yours. You are a very good writer.

i have both helium and ac accounts. And my personal opinion is that ac is much better. I am doing much better earning on ac. My One article on ac is doing better than 5 articles put together on helium. My opinion is helium isn;t worth the time and effort that your gonna put into it

Thanks for your response phillygirl. I think I'm going to hold off for a bit before posting to Helium because I'm involved in so many other things right now. Maybe later on, I'll give it a whirl. After all, if I'm just submitting the same article I have already written for AC and I make a few bucks on Helium as well, what could it hurt? :-)

I think I am the only person in the world that feels this way, but I really like Helium over AC. I heard about AC here on myLot after I had been a Helium member and decided to give AC a try. I found AC extremely confusing, hard to work with, and just not interesting to me at all. I am not on Helium to make a ton of money. I'm aware that is just not going to happen. I do enjoy writing, though, and love the chance to browse through the article titles to find a title I enjoy. I love the rating process and watching my article go up or down, depending on how well it is written. I would definately rework your article and submit it to Helium if you wish. I think Helium has a lot to offer that is different than AC.
