High crime rates are an incredible disgrace in much of the so called western civilized world. Yet, there are parts of the world with much lower crime rates. Murder is very rare and robbery almost non existent in some parts of the world. What is their secret? I have no doubt Sharia law is responsible for the low crime rate in Islamic countries. What can we learn from this? Does it mean all countries should implament Sharia law and become Islamic? I think not. The lesson to be learned from Sharia law is that consistent harsh certain punishment combined with a belief in God and the non acceptance of any excuses for criminal behavior results in a rather polite society. Is it possible to have harsh certain punishment combined with a belief in God and the non acceptance of any excuses for criminal behavior without Sharia law? Yes, it is. If it is, then Sharia law is not a prerequisite to have a low crime rate. What's the problem in the western world then? The problem in the western world is that liberal sociologists, criminalologists, psychologists, and others who really do not know what they are talking about have convinced their respective countries to have misguided compassion for miscreants. Tighten up the law and its punishments and the west too, could have a lower crime rate. It is really not that difficult. Muslims have shown in their own countries that it can be done.
