as such broadbands are the best i have a hp laptop and i using my airtel broadband through my wi-fi with this i get cool speed and power of mobility too laptops do provide the facility of data card but remember if you want to use the net at your home only then datacard is not a good deal as they donot give much speed. i have use datacard of reliance and airtel and both are the leading companies but the speed i got was comparable to the gprs ways are many you can use 1. datacard 2. gprs 3. dial up 4. broadband and many more but i prefer using broadband, it will give you the best speed
