What cable company do you use? Do you think it's worth the money?

Comcast Cable SUX! - comcast cable

I have Comcast cable and I hate it. The quality is not worth the money they charge for it. Since it's so called "digitized" I would think it would be good but NOT! I seldom get to watch a movie without it scrambling in the middle of it or completely going out all together. At first I thought it was my connection or tv but soon found out that I'm no alone in my feelings about it. What cable company do you use? Are you happy with it and think it's worth the money they ask for it? Have you ever changed from one cable company to another because of the quality?

The transimission in our area is provided by siti cable and the quality is not good at all. You may not get any transmission at all for hours together. Several channels are of very poor quality pictures and they dont care even when one complains. I have not switched over to other provider but am surely thinking of moving to dish tv or tata sky as the quality is really very good.

Isn't it amazing how we will deal with such bad quality and pay for it for such a long time before changing to a better system?

I have dish network, it's the best cable company I've used so far except for when it comes to talking to customer service over something. From all the times I've called, I've only had 2 people that speak English well enough to understand what I'm asking or telling them. But aside from customer service, I don't have any complaints.

lol...customer service is the only good thing about Comcast. I've never spoken to anyone who didn't speak good English.

I have always hated cable companies. I have Direct TV Sattelite. When we bought the house I called Direct TV and it was free installation etc for their service. Now I called Comcast and they wanted $79 per room for installation. Now there's other reasons but this is an example of why. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

lol.....I'm lucky because my apartment is 3 small rooms so I only have cable in one room. Of course I had it installed during one of their great bargains of no installation fee but after that it went downhill!

We use Cox Communications and t have been good to us so far. Quality is great and the only problem we have had is with the box they give us. They sent a technician the same day and had it all fixed and replaced. I even had trouble with our phone line and was able to fix it myself using their automated technician thingie they have as well. It may be a little expensive but in terms of coverage and sorts its been great so far!

I don't remember where I lived at the time and didn't check to see where you live but I do remember Cox as being one of the best. I'm happy to hear they haven't changed.

I have Comcast also. It has a lot of problems, especially on the high definition channels. My sound always goes off. Or the picture gets "stuck" and I miss scenes. Considering I pay more for the high def box for my high def television,I also think Comcast is overpriced and low quality service. My cousin keeps telling me to change to WOW. I am seriously considering doing this! PEACE

I'm happy to see I'm not the only one who isn't happy with Comcast. I don't have the HD but all the rest is the same as I experience.

I had comcast when I lived in Ga, and it was awful. The prices are outrageous, and the cable and internet were always going out. Some of my family still has it and complains about it. I live in NC now and have Charter, and I like it.

My local cable company has just been bought by eastlink. It all sucks. I get about 35 channels with nothing ever on. I pay $40.19 for basic cable. Most television sucks and we only watch mostly just kids cartoons. The odd show in the evening, but it is a waste. I went 6 years without it and never missed it. The kids want it and when they leave so will the cable.

Hello! In Philippines we're using the Sky Cable, you pay monthly subscription and it's worth the money you're paying for it and the quality is good. Here in Bahrain we're using the Dreambox Stellite. It's good, as you can choose lots and lots of channels, we don't pay for any monthly payment coz you have to buy the Dreambox and it's yours, you just have to have an internet connection. It has too many channels that sometimes annoys me, making it hard to choose especially some are in different language..lol.. the bad thing about it sometimes is that it hangs up, it just stops in the middle of the movie and you have to restart it again, but it seldom happens anyway. I can still say it's a good product. Worthit especially it's not too expensive. ciao! c",)

If you are in canada (winnipeg especially), Shaw sucks! It truly does. Get MTS. (BTW, MTS's internet rocks!)
