I have breaking news alerts delivered in my email from a couple of news sites. I really like to keep up with things of significance that are happening in the world. My complaint is that sometimes I will receive alerts that don't seem all that important to me. it's kind of like when they break into your favorite TV show with a breaking news report-and it turns out to be nothing really significant in that it could have waited until the regular newscast. Do you get news alerts?

Hello!
I don't get any news alerts in my emails nowadays because I stopped subscribing for those news alerts, I used to before and i'm getting a lot of news alerts some are relevant issues some are not and I found it annoying, so I stopped. Now, if I want to read the news i'll just go to the website and read.
Take care. Have a good weekend. *smile*
ciao! c",)

I agree with you on that, fab. Some of the items they consider "breaking news," I couldn't care less about.

Wise1, I just have RSS feeds come directly to my desktop. You can pick subjects that interest you and get dedicated feeds if you prefer. When ever a new story comes over the newswire or particular blogs that are of interest it just pops up in the corner of the desktop.Just a glance from time ot time and no need to fill up the inbox.

Thanks for the tip, pismeof! My inbox is so full, I will probably be working until Christmas to clear it again.
