do you grind your teeth?

i grind my teeth when i am asleep
i grind down my fillings even when i am wearing a gum shield
i am so frustrated by sensitive teeth,cracked teeth,sore jaw etc that i am thinking of having all my lower teeth taken out.does this sound crazy?

I don't grind my teeth but my boyfriend does and it drives me nuts. It's so loud. When he's asleep I can't understand how he doesn't wake up. I have to wake him up and tell him he's grinding so he'll stop. He tried one of those mouth guards he just got at a store. He wore it a few times but stopped because it didn't fit his mouth right. He doesn't take care of his teeth at all.
