My son and I attended an expo at my sons school this evening. There were about 10 different stalls where mothers/aunts/children sold different types of arts and crafts from handmade jewellery to custom made ones from China, wearable art like hand knitted purses, scarves, belts and headbands, wooden treasures like jewellery boxes and frames, photo cards, girl scouts selling bath salts, soaps and candles and also another stall called Arbonne International (like Avon) selling gift baskets full of creams, perfumes, oils and sorts.
My son bought one packet of photo cards ($5), a painted rock (0.25c) and a star magnet ($2). I bought a beautifully decorated bookmark (metal thin peice with beads dangling on the side - very different and colorful $7), a pkt of bath salts ($2) and soap to match ($1).
Once my son is fast asleep, I am going to take a nice hot soak in the bath with my new bath salts and even try out my new soap.
Do you attend such expo's or arts and crafts stalls at your children's school or in your community? What things do you like to buy?

Yeah first time involved in something like this. I usually see them at fairs and stuff so it was fun to see some parents i knew doing arts and crafts. One of the parents has a boy in my sons class and apparently they are best mates.
