I posted these before for friends. Some adjustments maybe needed due to personal tastes and the like. Healthy Hearty Chili 2 pounds lean ground beef 2 teaspoons of salt 2 teaspoons of black pepper 1 teaspoon of garlic powder 3 cups of diced tomatoes 4 cups of tomato sauce 2 cups chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 1 cup of corn 1 cup of diced or sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup chili powder 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 teaspoon dried oregano 2 teaspoons white sugar 2 cups canned red beans, drained and rinsed 1/8 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper (optional) Season the ground beef with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet or a large pot. Cook over medium-high heat until the ground beef is brown and even. Drain the beef. Add all ingredients to the large pot. Mix the ingredients well. Bring the pot to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 to 2 hours. (or more) Stir the chili occasionally. Heartwarmer Chili 2 pounds lean ground beef 2 teaspoons of salt 1 teaspoon of black pepper 1 teaspoon of garlic powder 1-2 cups of spinach 3 cups of diced tomatoes 4 cups of tomato sauce 2 cups chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped celery 1 cup of corn 1 cup of diced or sliced mushrooms 1/2 cup chili powder 1 tablespoon ground cumin 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 cup of parsley 1 tablespoon white sugar 1 tablespoon cinnamon 2 teaspoons brown sugar 2 cups canned red beans, drained and rinsed 2 cup of thin spaghetti or vermicelli Season the ground beef with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Place ground beef in a large, deep skillet or a large pot. Cook over medium-high heat until the ground beef is brown and even. Drain the beef. Add all ingredients minus the pasta to the large pot. Mix the ingredients well. Bring the pot to a boil. Add the pasta at this point. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour. And there is no way my Southwest blend is being let out. Sorry, gotta draw the line somewhere.

Well my recipes vary a lot.....I love chili, and i love different styles. On Rachel Ray today, she made chili dog chili, which im going to try next. Another one I love.... 2 cans of diced tomatoes 2 cans of chili beans 1 packet of chili powder 1 small onion 1 clove of garlic 1/4 cup of sugar 1 shot of Heintz 57 sauce 2 lbs of hamburger or turkey burger Its awesome!!! The 57 sauce gives it a zest and the sugar of course adds some sweetness......Awesome!

I use a large can of tomato juice as the base. Also add beans, onions and hamburger. My husband doesn't like it spicey so I have to be careful with the chili powder. I have no sense of taste so have to be careful when making anything hot. Don't want to fry the husband's tongue or lips.
