The Iq levels of todays kids are uncomparable to anything. The way they think, follow their friends and elders is really amazing. But in this process of following and imitating others, a lot of dissatisfaction is cropping up and we are unable to satify them at any point. I think this point has to be given a thought immediately. What do you say?

Kids these days are surely smarter and more aware of their surroundings. Which is why as parents we should put more effort in making them understand the environment around them, what they see, and what they hear. They may imitate what they see but I doubt if they fully understand what they are doing, or why. They must learn early that they can't have their cake and eat it too. The sooner they comprehend this the less the chances for dissatisfaction. Also we should learn to say 'no' to our children. And a 'no' means a 'no'.

Yes.You are certainly right. I'm really unable to say 'no' to my kids in the sesnse, I bend to her request even after saying 'no'.

I don't now if the IQ points in our children make much of a difference. I think that we spoil our children so much these days that it is hard to make them happy or for them to find appreciation in things that we did as children. Also, I think most of our kids these days are very short on common sense and very high on book smarts. At least that is what I am seeing.
