i attended a military training this summer, after which i really lost 15 pounds.it is a good way to lose weight, right? but the most treasure i get is i become more strong , both spiritually and physically.you know in the hot sun, it is quite a challenge for me to stand still, i overcome it and the heart in myself is growing. And still more, i learned what the soldiers' life are like and become good friend with my trainer.

I was in the U.S. Army for 16 months. I lost 22 pounds (176 to 154) in 6 weeks during my second summer of field training. It wasn't a very healthy way to lose weight thought because we only got 3-4 hours a sleep each day, and I was always exhausted. My endurance improved: my 1 mile run time went from 6 minutes to about 5 minutes and 45 seconds. However, my strength decreased. My bench press went down from 260 to 245. My deadlift also went down from 465 to 405. Overall I did lose fat, but I also lost muscle weight. This is almost never good, so I wouldn't recommend it for most people. Before you attempt any intensive military training make sure you are in extremely good shape. Some of my buddies got seriously injured from some of the things we did.

oh,i must say that the training you received is really a big challenge. if i were you ,i abolutely couldn't bear only 3-4 hours' sleep. there are so many healthy ways of losing weight, we don't have to choose such a cruel one, i agree with you on this. good luck!

Since last year military service is not imposed anymore in my country. I didn't have to take military training because I was in college and by the time I finish college there will be no military service to go to. The army will be formed by volunteers with professional military contracts.
