Who Else uses Crystals?

I just added this interest and found no discussions just a couple of pictures, so thought I'd ask who else uses crystals? I do and am going to start writing about them regularly on my blog. I've attached a picture of my new citrine cluster and a citrine point I've had for a while.

I have some amethyst crystals although I just use them for decoration. I don't really know very much about the practical use of crystals although I do have a book about it somewhere. However, it's another book that I haven't got round to reading yet I'm afraid! They look very pretty though - I love the colour of citrine.

Yes I do use crystals :)
I have one I wear most of the time when I'm going out on my necklace.
And I have one on my keyboard (to absorb negative energy).
I've also got a crystal ball in my living room too.
That's really all I've got though. But I do love them so and want to get more sometime.

Crystals are useful things to have, I wear them round my neck on chains and in rings too they look good as well serve a purpose.

A plus for the discussion and a plus for the picture. I also love the avatar but have no way to rate it! I have worked with healing crystals for many years. In fact it was through a private in-home, by myself crystal grid laying and meditation, that I received my first visit from the Spirit world. I have used crystals regularly along with my Reiki practice. If the person on the table wishes, they can place the crystals on their body; or we can place the crystals on the floor in the approximation of where the chakras of their body would be. I have not done this for about 3 years though as my immune system has been depleted and most of the time I am too worn out to simply carry out day to day activities. I did comment on your picture and hope you read the comment ~Donna

My avatar is from the film labyrinth if you look at my profile you'll see it animated, I got it from the labyrinth discussion section on here it's there and you can rate it if you add the person who posted it i think.

Oh wow..you hit a chord for me on this one. Our home is filled with crystals..clusters individual stones in a variety of shapes and sizes. Sorry I don't have a photo handy...but maybe I will take one and add it later. I have used crystals and various other natural stones for healing, balancing, strengthening the energy work. We have placed them in different areas our home to balance energy...and have 'programmed' them to augment our spiritual intentions.
When I feel they need to be attuned to something different I use a cleansing process of soaking them in purified water with some sea salt. After whatever time I feel is appropriate they are re-charged in the sun and during a full moon. So do I use crystals...you bet! There are so many wonderful things you can use them for...and their energies can be both subtle and powerful...they are unique unto themselves!
Good luck with yours!
Cheers,
Raia

I came back to thank you for the best response on this one. Always great to connect with like minded others with interests that are not as mainstream as some of the topics here.
When I commented on your photo and rated it I was surprised to read that the other person said not to get the crystals wet because they will dissolved. That is a totally new thing to me and I have never had that experience after years of cleansing them in water, salt and even taking them with me and letting them enjoy a nice nature spring bath.
I have noticed that too much sunlight for can lead to some slight clouding on the purples...including fluride. Other than than I bathe them and give them a chance to bask in the sun and moonlight to keep them charged. It has also not been my experience that they are self-cleansing. They collect and amplify energies...and in my experience it is always good to cleanse a new crystal before using it personally. Where ever it has been it carries those resonances with it...from the person who mined it, carried it, distributed it...so there are many different imprints by the time it reaches any owners hands.
I always cleanse a crystal before gifting it to anyone else and before and after using them for healing or energy work on others. However, I live within an energy-based framework for everything and am very cognizant, respectful and even at times cautious about how subtle and powerful energies can be. Adding crystal power to the mix comes with a level of responsibility...well from my perspective anyway.
So that is it for now...good luck with your crystals...may they continue to augment and expand awareness along your soul path. They sure do for me!
Wishing you many light filled blessings...
Raia

I am a Geology student, so crystals lie on the basis of all that I'm studying.
I have some amethyst large crystals around, as well as many other crystals, as all rocks are made out of minerals, and many minerals are found in a crystalline state.
Nevertheless, I don't believe in the healing or energetic properties of crystals. I keep them around for decoration.

I have some clear quartz points, rainbow obsidian, amethyst crystals, and a citrine "wand"; but, I do not know a lot about crystals and am still learning.
