bread slice splitter

This is a shot in the dark. When I was a kid my grandmother had a gadget that was kind of like two cheese grater panels (4" wide x 8" high strips of metal with holes punched in for gripping, hinged together at the bottom). The purpose was that you could take one thick slice of bread, put it in between these panels and evenly split the one slice into two thin ones like melba bread. Anybody know what it's called or where I can get one?
