Sprint Car Racing

I hope this isn't cheating too bad because it is the Nascar list and that means those of you who are in this interest are race fans, right? So, what I'd like to ask is if anyone here is a sprint car racing fan. That was my very first love in auto racing and will always be my favorite really. To see those winged cars bounce around the turns on a banked dirt track is one terrific experience. So, tell me, what are your opinions about the sprinters and what have your experiences with watching them been?

I am passionate about most any form of auto racing but,most of the saturday night type of racing in my region is of the Nascar variety;Late models or Modifieds.To see a sprint car race I need to travel north a good distance so I reserve that for vacation time in summer.I do remember the first time I saw a Sprint car event and absolutely flipped out when I saw the left front wheels coming off the ground as the cars came off the turns.What a blast!
I only wish there was a track near by so I could go more often.

Where have you gone to see the sprints? I know exactly what you mean about the wheels coming off the ground! That's a common sight. I like late model racing too there are some tracks near me that race modifieds but I've never seen them enough to pass judgment. I'm not familiar with the drivers and to me that makes a difference. I need to have someone to root for and I've watched alot of sprint drivers grow up in the sport. I watched Dave Blaney in a sprint for years and I also watched Jeff Gordon and Kasey Kahne when they raced them.

Well annie, we don't have sprints but we've got a few late models and IMCA mods, S/o would love a sprint but it's not really practical at all for us. I don't have photos of all the cars on this computer but I'll show you what I can find.
