I always look forward to the new year with mixed emotions. My life seldom changes for the better...it either stays the same or gets worse. It's become so that I look forward to the new year being better for my family and whatever happens to mine I just don't think about. Do you look forward to the new year? Do you make resolutions? Are you a new years eve partier, do you stay home and have a small group of people over or is it just like any other day to you?

Do not say that, your life might be better next year, you never know. I always hope that things will be better the next year, but remember life is full of up's and down's, that is just how life is.

I've spent so many years saying next year will be better only to be horribly let down. Now I accept my life for what it is.

Yes, I am. We have a few things install for next year; my sister in laws wedding is in April in Rarotonga, my husband is travelling a lot more next year and it could also mean my son and I may be able to travel with him at least on one of his trips so I hope that happens; it will also mean more miles and per diem saved haha; I have a few family members visiting us as well, so in all I am looking forward to the new year. We usually just celebrate it with the three of us, as its my husbands birthday on New Years Day so we always have something planned.

It's so awesome that you have so much to look forward to next year. Thinking real hard I came up with one thing that I do have to look forward to and that's my daughter and granddaughter moving closer to me next summer. Right now it's very hard for either of us to get to each other because we don't drive.

When I think of the new year, ctry, all I consider is that I will be closer to being another year older soon. I use to enjoy celebrating New Year's eve with friends and family, but the past couple of years I just stayed at home with my bottle of champagne and some good music. My ex still comes around to ring in the new year with me most of the time.

new year fireworks - fireworks display during new year
New Year is the only holiday i look forward to. Cause its the only time of the year that our whole family get together. All my brothers and sisters would all be home and we would all be celebrating new year. I dont make resolutions, though. i tend to repeat the same resolutions every year. haha

Well being that this year has been pure hell for us just as the year 2000 was, I AM so looking forward to the new year in hopes it'll be a better one. No I don't make resolutions for I don't stick to them and find them to be a joke. Hubby and I aren't partiers so we stay at home and watch the ball drop on tv then we go to bed. LOL Boring aren't we?
