We have a lot of dogs at home and for us, they are effective stress relievers. We used to have one dog inside the house and we observed that our dog is sympathetic. They tend to comfort us. How about you? Same experience?

Of course dogs are stress relievers, they are the only ones who are there for us when things are bad. I think dogs can sense when you've had a bad day or when you are sad, because they always seem to be on their best behavior during these times. Not that I believe it, but some think dogs are people re-incarnated. a strange thought.

Pets, dogs and cats and other animals are great stress reliever. I've read some articles that encourage people to own pets since it releases certain chemicals in our bodies that makes us feel good. And for me my dogs are good licker and symphatizer so if I'm down and lonely and feeling beat up for the moment, my dogs are there to cheer me up. Their face can express somethings words can't describe. And just by playing and cuddling them can allow you few moments of solitude that lets you forget some of your daily problems.

Pets and not necessarily dogs can be good stress reliever. I used to have lots of cats and it was always good to see them every time I came back from work. Now I have a son and I do not need the pets anymore as playing with my son is enough to relieve any stress that I have from work.

i dont have any dogs but i do believe that all pets are stress relievers. just there companionship and easy going attitudes are a big stress reliever. they are there for you when u need a little distraction from maybe a hard day and believe it or not they do have feelings

Hi, I used to work in a rehab centre and did a lot of research on pet therapy and found that it is a proven fact that having a pet lowers the blood pressure and relaxes you. Although sometimes when my lot get into mischief I wonder how this can be true. But I love all my dogs and would not be without them.
