How do you stay in touch with your My Lot friends?

I've met lots of wonderful friendly people since joining My Lot. Some of the people come and go within a few weeks and others stay for a little bit longer. You'd be surprised how many things you can have in common with a perfect stranger.
And, while it's nice talking to new people and finding out more about how people live around the world, some of my best My Lot friends are no longer around. I guess they have other things to do in their life. And that's just fine. Some people have kids and jobs and other things they're required to handle. Most times we lose touch and never speak again. But other times we email each other off of My Lot to let each other know what is going on in our separate lives.
How do you keep in touch with people who once posted on My Lot, but have since moved on? Do they ever send you messages via My Lot or emails? Do you ever have the chance to chat with former My Lot friends via Yahoo Chat or other messenger service?

I have met a lot of really great people here in MyLot, and I have made a lot of friends! The ones that I am the closest to I stay in touch with through emails! Some of them I email every day, and some I email once a week or so! I live in Canada and most of my MyLot friends that I am really close to live in another country so it's hard to talk on the phone with them!

well i have a few that i email every day and at least once a week or so we talk on the phone.if it wasnt for mylot i would of never met them.so mylot is great for me.

Hello beauty queen. I also have some Mylot friends, who were very active when I joined Mylot in the first two months and we often respond to each other's discussions and later I seldom or never see them around again. Once in a while I can see them on the same topic that I have responded to and would be very happy to give further comments on theirs, saying hi to them. I miss my first few Mylot friends very much and hope that I can have some of their discussions for me to respond to. I hope that they are all doing well in their jobs.

I just started MyLot and look forward to some friends, but I was selling on ebay while back - kids books was my niche. A lady in Texas (I'm in CA) bought a box of books, said they were for her 6 year old GD who was coming out to stay a few weeks with her. We chatted over the sale and all and that was 2 years ago and we are still good "cyper" friends! Turns out we have a TON in common, likes, dislikes and goals in life! We coorespond via email, no phone and it has just been amazing. We both have a few of the same problems so we cry on each other shoulder and help the other when we can. Pretty neat to have a cyper friend!
