In our society, there are a lot of persons who don't have the diplomas. And they can't enter their ideal company. Do you think the diploma is very important? And how you think the experience ? Which is more important between diploma and experience ?

I think that a diploma is important when you are looking for a job as this is first thing to be asked for. You need to have a diploma to find a nice and ideal job or you have more chances to get a better job than one who does not have a diploma, especially in China, where a diploma is looked on as so important a respect in getting a job. Because a diploma tells the interviewer how well you are educated for the position that you apply for. On the other hand, working experience is also very important. One with rich experience can always perform better in his work than a green hand. If I were an interviewer, I would pay attention to both the diploma and the experience, but if the person with rich experience has no diploma, I would be very happy as well to have him work in the factory or company and I would have him learn more theory based on his practical knowledge to make him more perfect and I am sure that he would be happy to work in the company to make as much contribution to the company as he can. To draw a conclusion, both are very important, but it may vary based on some exceptions because there is nothing absolute. Thanks for your discussion, dear mari.

I think a diploma is important. But it only one of the things that employers look into. Having a diploma doesn't mean competency or good performance. There are other things that are considered like skills, mental alertness and personality. Experience is also very important because it sharpens the dull edges of a person's knowledge and skills, it also provides opportunity for the person to develop not only professionally but also as a person.

Acquiring skills is most important if one wants to work. One way of acquiring skill is to join the diplomas, practically for all subjects, diplomas are available from 2 to 3 years. After doing one year internship, one will definitely find the job.
