I think it can go either way.. 1. Much more of the earth's surfaces are covered with water. Places that were lush are now deserts. Food is very scarce and hard to obtain so there are strict rations. No one is allowed pets because they would take resourses that are not available. There are few species of wildlife anymore We can no longer go out in the sun when we are even able to see it through the smog The water we drink is not fit to consume and the air is killing us! 2. We were smart enough to stop being so greedy and use our resourses to heal our planet We are still working very hard to combat all the stupidity we inheritted from those that lived here prior to 2007 We were lucky that our great grandparents woke up soon enough. We are a respectful people of ourself, others, the planet. We have healthy wildlife. Our planet is a pleasure to live on. We no longer use any fossil fuels. We depend on the sun, wind, water, air to heat, cool, get from place to place, etc. Ok Now it's your turn..What do you think is the future of the planet?

It is nice to hear wonderful things about the world we live in. The stark realities are different: 1. global warming 2. No alternative to petrol is found and some countries blackmail large number of countries 3. The pollution of air, water, sound and pesticides, fertilizers -- all troubling us. Yet we live in this world, without making tangible contribution to the world.

I don't really like about the future that way. I'd like to think of it as just me going through life, one step at a time, and do my best to make my life as happy and complete as it can be!

I am a strong believer that in 2012 this planet will cease to exist and that we will be hit by a giant asteroid as predicted. So we have less than 5 years to go and I can't see the world changing for the better. It's too little too late in my view. Even if the 2012 prediction didn't happen, the hatred and terrorism and overpopulation as well as food shortage will eventually kill the planet off, it's not a case of if this planet will die it's WHEN!

To be honest with you, the best way for me to think about the future is by taking it one step at a time. I don't really think about much of the future and what it is stored for us. I just want to live out my life the best I can!
