I noticed on Yahoo's homepage they have an healine from Reuters that Screen violence is tied to agression in boys. The article goes on to point out that while 2 out of 5 who watched aggresive movies were more prone to be overly aggresive adults..the same results were not prevalent among females. "Christakis said many parents may be unaware that the shows or video games their young children watch are violent or inappropriate for their age group." You can read the whole article here: http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20071105/hl_nm/violence_tv_dc

I've always thought watching violence was harmful. I can tell in myself just over the past 20 years. What we use to think was just awful on screen or tv, we are now accustomed to and think nothing of. I think that's why there is so much violence in the world...they have seen so much of it and think nothing of it, or don't realize there are real consequences. But...I'm tired of it all and tend to stick to PG movies for myself and skip the R rated ones entirely. Don't care any more for the garbage, the innuendo, the violence and the bad language.

Like you ..I have noticed a big difference in my soul since I dropped tv completely.. There was more nervousness in me when I had the tv.. I told myself..this was recreation..a distraction..but no matter ..the commercials the news etc..all this was affecting my soul. For people who are not living a vowed life TV can be really good..in moderation. But for me.. I have found out ..it had a negative affect on me. I didnt create, think or imagine ..thus less writing: when I was utilizing the tv.
