Yeah it's me with another in-law rant. I use one kind of laundry detergent. I pay a little extra for it because I know it works. I just went to start my laundry since I haven't been able to use the washer all week and guess what? My good laundry detergent is gone and has been replaced with a cheap, watery store brand detergent that smells weird. The next time I buy detergent I'm hiding it in my underwear drawer.

My step-daughter's ex-boyfriend (is she still my step-daughter if she's older than I am, even though I AM married to her father?) Anyway, this lady's ex-boyfriend ate an entire box of imported Turkish Delight, and then replaced it with some local (American) crap that tasted like sh!t! I know precisely how you feel.

LOL ok first of all your situation isn't too far off from mine...people think my stepson is my brother and that my s/o is OUR dad...the walmart greeter even gave my stepson and I stickers for helping "our dad" with "our" little brothers (my 3 sons with s/o)! I have no idea wha Turkish Delight was but I'm sure you were pi$$ed!

I would be pissed if my laundry soap got replaced with some cheap stuff. What would make someone think to replace good detergent with cheap detergent? I could maybe see it the other way around. I use a few different laundry soaps, but I never buy the really cheap stuff. I am more middle of the road when it come to my soap.

His mom just buys whatever is on sale the cheapest whether it's good or not. The last time theirs ran out I brought mine out to get the boys clothes washed and everybody else jumped right in and used it all up for their stuff. I guess she knew the bottle was empty and just bought whatever was cheap without even considering that I might be particular about my detergent. I'll just buy another bottle of it next time I'm out and keep it hidden except for when I'm doing our wash.

LOL You sound like me when my sister in law comes to visit. i have to hide all the special food or snacks because she will eat it all. One year she ate my hubbys birthday cake in like 3 days and he only had one piece. But we learn to laugh about it and now when she comes to visit we always joke were gonna get out the safe and hid all the goodies.

I am kind of new to your discussions, so what gives? An in-law is taking your laundry detergent and replacing it with a cheaper brand? Why? Sounds like a reasonable rant to me..lol

Ok here's the short version to get you caught up....we are living with my s/o's parents for the time being. Since it is still technically their house, everything is done their way an by their rules. I can deal with that on major points for the time being BUT there have been all sorts of minor issues that have just really added up and made things miserable here...them staying up late and getting up early with no regard to me needing sleep because the baby wakes up in the night still, only watching what they want on tv to the extent of changing channels or turning the tv off in he middle of a show I'm watching, deciding what gets done when by me even if I'm in the middle of myloting or eating....and now the laundry detergent thhing. I bought it for our clothes, his mom ran out, used up over half a big bottle (all that was left) and when she did buy more it was just the cheap kind that I don't like using (if she wants to use cheap stuff I have no problem with that but I hadn't een able to use the washer in a week so it was all my clothes that needed to be washed, convenient huh?
