or do you send ecards? frankly, with two part time jobs, a family and a house and all the other business of the christmas season, i am not sure that i will be writing christmas cards this year (ok, maybe one or two to relatives that dont have computers, but thats it!)

I still do as we're often short of cash for presents and I'd really like to let people know I'm thinking of them. Plus it's lovely to find a special card that you know someone will appreciate. The cost of really nice cards is getting quite high too though!

I confess I am not a card sender but an e-greeting sender. I never got around to sending cards and always felt bad, so now I email cards and don't feel half as guilty. Merry Christmas.

better you improve your handwriting and do it handwritten because that would be more worth than ecards

I do have a Christmas card list that I still use to send out hand written cards. I probably send out about 40-50 cards each year. We send out Christmas and Holiday cards because we have several religions in our families. I do alot of E Cards, also. They have such cute one available.

I still send paper Holiday cards, but to make it easier I start addressing and writing them out slowly (a few a night) in early November. Then I'll start mailing them around Thanksgiving to spread out the cost of postage. Actually, you've reminded me to get started. As an added bonus this year, I got some cards from habitat for humanity when they contacted me for donations last month, and I got some cards from a freecycle type thing a few weeks ago as well. So I dn't need to buy the cards.

Yes I am still sending cards to my family and not becuase they don't have a computer, but becuase card is something perosnal for me and it has kinda charm. And also beucase they take it the way Like I find the time to think about them and writing somethign nice.i knwo you can do the same with ecards, but believe me it is not the same, if they read it. Because they can put it in some place, where everybidy will see it, where they can be proud of it.I am sure e-cards are cheaper and faster, but cards and still better to me.

The past couple of years I have been ordering mine from WalterDrake.com. I get the ones that are already "signed" and I also pay the little bit extra to have our address pre-printed on the envelopes so I have to do is address the card for who it is to. Sometimes I'll type up a general "how we're doing" letter in Word and print it out on Christmas-y type paper and put one inside each card. I used to hand write every card but I don't have the time anymore and my wrists can't handle it. Carpal Tunnel. lol It's easier, and much neater, this way. It costs a little more cash, but it saves me much more in time, which can be just as costly, if not more so. I haven't gotten so bad as to just send ecards yet, but if postage keeps getting so rediculously high I might have to. I'm lucky I can afford the gas to go to the post office as it is! lol

I used to do that quite a bit and I take pride in writing something original and "customized" for each person I send to. But nowadays, it is hard to find original greeting cards. The sale figures must have been declining since the shops are not bringing in new stock. It's like every year I see the same designs being sold. So recent years, I do not really send out that many cards. I usually only reciprocate if need be. I switched to personalized electronic email greetings (NOT e-cards though) last year or two.

Time of Christmas cards has been passed away. Now people are using their mobiles to wish and send the happy Christmas to their lovers. Marry Christmas. We send this happy sentence through Short message Service of our mobile connecting company. Email is another fast and modern source to wish happy Christmas. Beautiful e cards are available on internet to send them for greetings. Time has been changed and we also changed ourselves and now we don’t write and send Christmas cards as we used to do in our past.

I think that I do for the most part still write christmas cards. Unless you are a friend that I see everyday and only at work, I may just send you an e-card. But, honestly there is just something about getting an actual christmas card in the mail. Maybe its just tradition, but I like that feeling to think that someone actually took time to write a card, get a stamp and mail it to me ahead of time. Its seems so much more personal.

I usually have photocards printed for Christmas. This way I don't spend a whole lot of time writing. Sometimes I will add a handwritten letter depending on who I am sending it to. My sister types up one family letter and adds a copy to every card. I have done that before as well. I don't usually send e-cards.

I don't write Christmas cards any more. Because it spends more time writing it and sending it. I prefer to send Ecards much more. Besides, saving one Christmas card means to save trees. At least we can do something good for our planet.

I usually send christmas cards to my close pals who lives far away from me. Other people, usually it's e-card or I'll wish them thru text message or IM hehe.

I still write and send out around a dozen Christmas cards each year, although ecards have been around for a while. It's my way of saying hello and keeping in touch with some of my friends and relatives. I could send out ecards to some of them, but I feel it is more personal to write a physical card in my own handwriting, and have it delivered to the addressee's home. I still delight in receiving cards in my postbox, so I guess it will be the same for those I send cards to. What I would hope to do someday is to design my own personalized ecards and send them out to friends.

Robert Sabuda reindeer card - A simple pop-up card by Robert Sabuda, my hero!
I'll start in a couple weeks... I make my Christmas cards, and they are usually an elaborate pop-up type. This year it will be a Robert Sabuda design for a pop-up reindeer... last year, the cards opened into see-thru windows with sequined 'chanderliers' hanging in them. Here is a picture of the cards I will be doing this year...

I do have send out Christmas cards each year. I have a list with about 20 people on it. About half of that list is close family and I hand deliver the cards to them. Last year a wrote a story, signed it, and included it with all the cards I sent out. The story is going to be included in the new book I'm writing. This will be my third book. I do send a few ecards also. I send these to my online friends.
