Hi Katie, I taught myself and my autistic grandson sign from a book. There are several out there, but I chose a beginning book written and illustrated by the AML (American Sing Language) I can't remember the exact name of the book, but it not only had easy to do illustrations, but the WHY of the particular sign.... to make it easier to remember. It wasn't hard and it was a lot of fun for both of us to learn. Good luck, and have fun, I had a blast teaching my grandson.
